And there I saw some possible snorkeling sites and beach sites. Samal Island is, I think, as big as Coron Island. Therefore, I know I can explore the whole area in 2 days. Now I am pressured to decide whether to buy a promo ticket or not, but what month? Is September a good month, meaning wave swell is small. Or October or November? I don't know much about Davao Gulf, but when is the month where winds is not coming from the south? I hope somebody can help me here. I am not putting my expectation high for this place. I am also not after for those luxurious or popular resort or beach. I prefer a less crowded and quiet beach. I want to explore Samal Island unconventionally. Go to places where it is beautiful underwater with a nearby white beach and rarely visited by common tourists. And there must be a good snorkeling site at least. Care for any comment? And I am not happy about this! Good thing I am enjoying Coron the way it should be. Because 2 years from now, Coron will have a new face. I know these islands, I always see them when I go touring people and myself. I like them the way it is now. This "future" is the reason why there's nothing free in Coron anymore. I think CYC Island is the last remaining free place for the public. This is also the reason why people turns greedy. These simple boatmen who are very pleasant dealing with tourist now starts to brags and starts to increase their boat rental rates. Coron will become another Boracay and Puerto Galera. Although many people will very happy about this "development" (or destruction), as a traveler, I am not happy with this "development". Our negative traits in the Pinoy culture will dominate here.
